Tile Factory Outlet is a locally owned and operated tile warehouse on the corner of Kayleigh Drive and Wises Road, Maroochydore. We have sold tiles on the Sunshine Coast since 2005 and traded from this corner since 2007, with Italian, Spanish and Australian ranges across two display areas and a warehouse floor holding thousands of tiles. A splashback is the wall behind a sink, cooktop or trough that gets splashed, and its job is to give that wall a smooth surface that wipes clean. Because nobody walks on it, almost any wall-suitable tile can be used: gloss, polished, mosaic, subway, handmade-look and large-format porcelain all work, which is why the splashback is usually where a kitchen or bathroom gets its one decorative moment.

The warehouse behind our showroom is the range. You can see full boxes and pallets rather than a single sample, check the shade across a batch, and take the tiles with you instead of waiting on a container. Everything that goes behind and around the tile is sold in the same building.

- Most stock held on site. If the tile is on the floor, we load it up the same day. Most of what we do not hold can be brought up from our Brisbane suppliers by the end of the week; some feature tiles are made to order and take two to three weeks.
- Italian, Spanish and Australian ranges from $19.95/m². We buy in volume and often take the last batches from a wholesaler, which is how the same tile is cheaper here.
- Try Before You Buy. Request samples in store and check the colour against your benchtop and cabinetry before you commit.
- Everything for the install under one roof. Waterproofing, grout, glue, screed, silicone, levellers, clips and wedges, trims and the accessories a first-time tiler forgets.
- Help choosing, and a tiler if you need one. Our showroom team, including a resident tiling expert, will help you pick type, colour and size. We do not install, but we can recommend a tiler when you come in.

If we have the tiles in stock at the outlet, we can load them for you on the same day. Most of our suppliers are in Brisbane, so an order for a tile we do not hold can usually be completed by the end of the week, or sooner if you are happy to pay for individual freight. Some feature tiles are made to order and can take two to three weeks, so ask before you plan an install date around one.
Ordering, paying and checking your tiles
If you are ordering tiles rather than loading them on the day, a 50% deposit is enough, with the balance due on collection or before delivery. We take EFTPOS, cash and direct transfer; cheques and American Express are not accepted. Check your tiles within seven days of receiving them, and if any are cracked, get in touch and we will sort out the replacement. Allow about 10% on top of the measured area for cuts and wastage.
Delivery and installation
We deliver across the Sunshine Coast. Pricing varies with the location and the size of the pallet, but typically a local delivery is $130 per pallet, and it includes an all-terrain forklift driver who can set the pallet down in your yard if you prefer. We do not offer installation, but we can recommend a tiler when you come in, and our website carries how-to resources for anyone laying their own splashback.

We do not install tiles. We do offer online how-to resources for the first-time tiler, and we can recommend a tiler for you when you come in store.

Does any tile work as a splashback?
Any wall-suitable tile does. Because a splashback is never walked on, slip ratings do not apply, which frees you to use gloss, polished and decorative tiles that would be unsafe on a floor. What matters is how easily the face wipes clean, whether the edge is rectified for tight grout lines, and whether the batch is large enough to finish the wall.
